EA Voluntary Administration Information for ENT Members

Dear Members,

We understand many of you are concerned about the future of Equestrian Australia (EA) and what it will mean for you as a competitor, coach, official or club, especially with a lot of misinformation in circulation.

EA on 9 June 2020 went into voluntary administration.  We reiterate this was voluntary, neither forced or compulsory.  The administrators are KordaMentha, more information on the appointment can be found HERE.

EA has released an additional statement today that will clarify several questions of why the decision was made to place EA into voluntary administration.  Click HERE to view the statement.

Whilst it will take some time for us to fully understand the impact of the administration and to work through the administration process, Equestrian Northern Territory (ENT) confirms the following for our members:

  • EA and ENT are separate legal entities and the decision taken by EA should not impact ENT operations;
  • As a current financial member of ENT, you remain fully insured until 30 June 2020;
  • ENT will work directly with the Administrators and insurance brokers to ensure our members continue to be insured into the 2020-21 Financial Year;
  • ENT is cash positive for FY20 and has satisfactory cash reserves at this time. We remain committed to our return to sport plan and will continue to support our members and affiliate clubs;
  • ENT is seeking to meet with the Administrators as soon as possible to work through issues arising and, in the longer term, will seek a voice in any proposals for any changes to EA's constitution or governance arrangements.

ENT will keep you informed as more information comes to hand. We appreciate your patience as we navigate through this next chapter. We hope to minimize as much disruption to our members as possible.

If you have any questions or feedback please email [email protected] or phone 0497 303 535

Yours sincerely,

Anne-Marie Cruickshank

Chair | Equestrian Northern Territory
